Cooking Classes with Chef Bridgett!

Learn to cook a complete culinary meal with chef Bridgett.  This will be a series of three classes that build on each other to provide a novice cook skills to complete a full, flavorful, quality meal.

KNIFE SKILLS

Dates:  September 19, 2019

Thursday 6p.m.-8p.m.

Fee: $25+$10 paid to instructor

Location: Dessert 114 on the College of Southern Idaho Campus

This class will teach basic knife cuts; batonet, small, medium, and large dice, chiffonade and julienne. In addition to learning how to handle your knife and manipulate what you are cutting for each method, you will be learning the reasons behind why you are using each cut.  By the end of this class you will have used your knife skills to make a delicious chicken noodle soup!

EASY MARINADES FOR MEATS AND SEASONINGS FOR VEGETABLES

Dates: October 10, 2019

Thursday 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Fee: $25+$10 paid to instructor

Do you feel like you need to up your game for dinner?  This fun and interactive class will explore the world of marinating and seasoning.  You'll get a hands-on approach while adding deeper flavors to your meals.  You will be learning ways to easily flavor your meats and vegetables using everyday seasonings on them and techniques for keeping your meats moist during the cooking process.  This night the novice cook will make a complete meal for themselves!

SAUCES AND DRESSINGS

Dates: November 7, 2019

Thursday 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Fee: $25+$10 paid to instructor

Do you know what the mother sauces are? What about emulsifying?  Join us in learning the basic sauces, emulsification for dressings and so much more.  This will be a fun class while you build on your culinary repertoire.  This final class in the series will show you how to make a reduction sauce for meats and use two different techniques to make dressings for salads.  Chicken salad is on the menu!

Lê Brigê Catering is owned and operated locally in the Magic Valley, Twin Falls Idaho.  Owner and Executive Chef Bridgett Slater studied at the College of Southern Idaho and has been successful with two of the largest Food Service Organizations in the Nation. Lê Brigê Catering strives to offer excellent cuisine that would enhance any occasion from corporate events and weddings to private parties and barbeques.

Lê Brigê Catering offers a variety of items to suit the needs of any event.  We focus on buffet style catering to accommodate large groups to ensure a smooth flow of dining.  This ensures that the food is served hot and the quality is not compromised while your guests get to enjoy their food and you can bet back to the business at hand.  While this is our focus it is of course not our limit.  We have the capability to do plated casual, business and fine dining events also.
